There was Antony and Cleopatra.

There was Romeo and Juliet.

There was Napoleon and Josephine.

And then . . .

It has been more than 10 years since they met.   Scott was bold, fit and handsome, a refined gentleman of noble birth, sterling character and manly demeanor. Lisa was lovely, gentle and beautiful, a spirited woman of artistic sensitivity and rare intellectual depth.
What an interesting difference 10 years can make!

Some say it was love at first sight. When Scott first set eyes on Lisa, he walked boldly up to her and gazed lovingly into her mysteriously beautiful eyes. "This could be the start of something wonderful," he whispered.
"I'll let you know," Lisa responded.

Days and weeks and months flew by as their unique love deepened profoundly. And then at last, on June 1, 1996, Scott and Lisa were married.
It has been remembered as the wedding of the year, the cultural event of the decade, and as a pretty good free meal. People came from far and wide to witness the wedding of Lisa and Scott. The crowd of earnest onlookers was unlike anything ever seen at St. Mark's Church.

Then came the glorious, long-awaited honeymoon. It was an agonizing decision for Lisa and Scott. A remote island paradise in Polynesia? A chateau in the south of France? A penthouse suite in New York?
Nothing seemed quite right, until their extensive search led them to the discovery of the ideal place: in St. Bart's.

On returning from their honeymoon, Lisa and Scott instructed the chauffeur to drive to Houston. "Our dream home!" beamed Scott with understandable pride.
"I didn't know they made dream homes quite like this," Lisa replied.
"Let me carry you over the threshold, my darling!" Scott exclaimed as he swept Lisa into his arms.
"Try not to crack my head on the door frame," pleaded Lisa.

Their life and love went on: month followed month and season followed season. And then into their lives came their hearts' pride and joy: Mary and Beth. "Oh, how our lives have been enriched!" exclaimed Scott. "Have you seen the grocery bills lately?" asked Lisa.

At last, Scott and Lisa celebrated the anniversary of 10 years of marriage. Again, people traveled from all over the civilized world to join in the celebration. Dignitaries and celebrities of every sort were on hand. Everyone joined in the tribute to the special couple.

With all my love,

Lisa

It was more than 10 years ago that Lisa and Scott first met. At that time, they had no way of knowing what the future had in store for them. In the years to come, there would be laughter and tears, triumphs and trials, successes and failures, and joys and sorrows. But in those early days as they learned to love and respect one another, little did they know that this was the start of something special!

Time passed and that love and respect deepened. Then, on June 1, 1996, Lisa and Scott were married at St. Mark's Church.

Many memories of that wedding day are still vivid: the special people who were present for the occasion; the last minute details that still needed attention; the plans that didn't quite happen as planned! But of all the memories of that day, the most important are those of the ceremony itself, when Kim and Scott stood together, exchanged their solemn vows, and were pronounced husband and wife.

Their marriage began with a honeymoon in St. Bart's. This was a time to privately share their hopes and dreams for the future. From the moment they moved into their first home, at Houston, they shared, as husband and wife, in all that life had to offer. And, to this day, there are times when fond memories of that first home come to mind.

As they knew it would, life brought many changes for Lisa and Scott: many surprises, many challenges, many unexpected turns in the road. But nothing altered everything quite as much as the arrival of Morgan and Tracie!    Through many special experiences that only parents understand, Lisa and Scott found their love for one another growing deep and strong.

Season followed season and year followed year. It's the good times, the joyful times, the times of laughter and fun that they like to remember. And for Lisa and Scott, there were many of those. But it's the difficulties that have tested and proven the strength and depth of Lisa and Scott's love.

Now, June 1, 2006, Lisa and Scott are celebrating 10 years of marriage, another milestone in their journey together. A wedding anniversary is a time for celebration. There is much to rejoice in. There is much to be thankful for. There are many fond memories to treasure. But a wedding anniversary is a time for reflection as well. It is a time to remember that a marriage is built on love and trust, and that, without these qualities, it cannot endure.

On this special anniversary, Lisa and Scott were pleased to have friends and family celebrate the day with them. Some would come to visit; others would call. Still others would be there in thought alone. There were many who made this day extra special.

With all my love,

Lisa
