Will the software run on Vista?
Yes, you
can print envelopes and labels. You can print
Outer and Inner envelopes.
Yes, you
can import your guest information from a delimited file created
from another program. You can import from
Outlook, Act, or Excel. The file must first
be saved as a text - delimited file (either tab or comma
delimited), and then it can be imported.
Yes. You
can install the software on two computers and then by copying
the database file to a disk, you can take your data from
one computer to another. You can also email the data file
back and forth if you are sharing the program with a relative
or fiancé in another city. The database file is called
wedmagic4db.mdb and it is stored in the Wedding Magic 4 directory/folder.
Locate the file and copy it to a disk or email it.
You can not merge the data between two programs - you
can't both work on the software at the same time.
Or if you have a USB Flash drive - you can back up the
data directly to the flash drive, take it to the 2nd
computer, and Restore the data from the USB drive.
If you
ordered the software on-line, you will have to download the
demo onto the second computer, then email our tech support
department to receive a code for the second computer.
Keep
in mind that you can not work on the software on both computers
at the same time. The system will not synchronize or
merge the data - it will overwrite it.
Domestically, we ship
the software US Priority, so you usually will receive the
software within 2-3 days. Internationally we
ship the software US Global Priority so you will receive
the software in 4-7 days.
Not at
this time. Unfortunately, the software that we use to develop
our software does not allow us to create a MAC version. We have had
a lot of customers use the software on a MAC by using
virtual PC or a Windows emulator. We have
been told that a virtual pc application is available on
all new MACs, or you can find these tools very easily on
the Internet.
Will
the software run on Vista?
Yes. However, until changes are made to the code to
address security issues in Vista, after
installation,
right click on the Wedding Magic shortcuts created
by the installation, select properties, then the
compatibility tab, and select the option to run this
as an administrator.
